Part of the original Hatha Yoga tradition, Yin Yoga is the practice of cooling and recharging the body and mind. This all-level practice promotes permanent flexibility through postures focusing on ligaments within the body. Three key elements within Yin Yoga philosophy are: finding the ‘just right’ depth of each posture, resolving to not move out of the posture, and holding each posture for a length of time. Yin Yoga is a perfect compliment to heat based Vinyasa classes!
Yoga Nidra is the sleep of the Yogis. While in savasana (corpse pose) the mind remains alert and active while lead through a series of mental exercises Yoga Nidra strengthens the mental focus during meditation as well as emphasizes a deep relaxation within the body.
